Chapter 58

Sidharth leaned in gently and placed a soft kiss on Shehnaaz’s hair. His fingers trailed over each dress laid out on the bed, scanning them carefully with a thoughtful expression. After a few minutes of quiet contemplation, his eyes lit up as he picked a deep blue colored churidaar and held it out toward her. “Wear this one,” he said with a soft smile that carried a subtle warmth—something only she brought out in him.

Shehnaaz’s eyes sparkled with joy. She gave him one of her signature cute smiles and quickly took the dress from his hand. Without wasting another second, she darted toward the bathroom, almost like an excited little child.

Sidharth shook his head with a soft chuckle, watching her disappear behind the door. His heart swelled with affection as he looked around at the scattered clothes. Without a second thought, he started folding them neatly and placing them back in her wardrobe. His hands moved swiftly, but with care—like it was something sacred to him. Setting her things in place wasn’t just a chore, it was a silent act of love. He enjoyed doing these small, everyday things for her. It made him feel closer to her, more involved in her world.

She was his baby. His everything. And the way she depended on him so effortlessly—it made him feel wanted, needed. And that feeling was priceless. He was possessive about her, not in an overbearing way, but in a loving, protective way. It was his right to care for her… to look after her. Only his right.

Moments later, Shehnaaz came out of the bathroom, dressed in the deep blue churidaar that made her glow even more. Her eyes softened as they scanned the room—now completely clean and organized. A gentle smile curved on her lips, and she scolded herself silently, “uff Shehnaaz, itna messy kyun rehti ho…” But the very next moment, she looked around, searching for Sidharth. He wasn’t in the room.

“He must be downstairs,” she mumbled, nodding to herself. Then with a mischievous smirk, she whispered, “Shehnaaz, aaj pehle hi din late karwayegi kya khudko aur Sidharth ko bhi… jaldi ready hoja… warna dusht tujhe chhodenge nahi… ghar pe pyar aur office me khadus boss…” She giggled at her own naughty thoughts, shaking her head and quickly getting ready for work.

When Shehnaaz came downstairs, she saw a familiar and adorable scene unfolding. Jasbeera ji was lovingly feeding Sidharth plate after plate of the delicious food she had specially made for him. Sidharth, on the other hand, looked like he was on the edge of bursting. His face wore a helpless, overfed expression as he tried to smile politely. The moment his eyes landed on Shehnaaz, he gave her a baby face—pleading silently for help like a poor, tortured soul.

Shehnaaz had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. The sight of him sitting there, completely at the mercy of Jasbeera ji, was simply too funny. Seeing her struggle to suppress her giggles, Sidharth glared at her, which only made it harder for her to hold it in.

To make things worse—or funnier—Shehnaaz decided to tease him even more. With a perfectly innocent tone, she called out, “Arre mumma… ye kya… aapne Sidharth ko lassi nahi pilayi aapke haath ki?”

Baaz was trying his best to manage their overenthusiastic mother while Mahi, clearly enjoying the drama, couldn’t help but add, “Ae le… Punjabio de damad ji ne kisi ne lassi nahi pilayi!” Sidharth looked at both of them with shock, as if they had just betrayed him. Meanwhile, Jasbeera ji gasped and bit her lip, “Ae le… main toh bhool hi gayi… Beta, aap khao… main do minute mein aapke liye lassi laati hoon…”

And before anyone could stop her, she rushed toward the kitchen.

The moment she disappeared, Sidharth jumped up and without warning, pulled Shehnaaz into his arms, snaking one arm firmly around her waist. She gasped as he pulled her close, startled by the suddenness but not surprised—it was so like him.

Baaz, quick to react, covered Mahi’s eyes and marched her straight into the kitchen with a dramatic chuckle. Leher, who was just stepping out of the kitchen, paused mid-step and turned around awkwardly, trying to hide her face.

Unaware of the brief audience they had, Shehnaaz affectionately ran her fingers down Sidharth’s cheek. “Kya hua Mr. Shukla..?” she asked sweetly, her eyes twinkling.

Sidharth gave her a pointed look, one that was both complaining and affectionate. Then, with a teasing smirk, he whispered, “Soch lo… you have to pay heavily for this Mrs. Shukla…”

Shehnaaz smirked back, clearly unfazed by his words. Leaning closer to his ear, she huskily replied, “We will see that Mr. Shukla…”

“Achha…” he whispered back, a wicked glint in his eyes, ready to say more, when the sound of fast-approaching footsteps made them jump apart.

Jasbeera ji returned, proudly placing a huge glass of lassi on the table, completely unaware of what had just transpired. She was followed by the rest of the family, who tried—and failed—to stop her.

Sidharth stared at the massive glass with dread in his eyes. It looked like a small bucket. Shehnaaz, on the other hand, giggled silently, thoroughly enjoying his misery.

Trying to escape, Sidharth gave an awkward smile. “Maa woh…” he began, but then a mischievous idea lit up in his mind. “Haan woh Shehnaaz… Shehnaaz kabse bol rahi hai ke usse bahot bhook lagi hai…”

Shehnaaz’s eyes widened in horror.

He turned to her quickly, continuing the drama. “Arre Shehnaaz, kya kar rahi ho… chalo jaldi se lassi pilo… mera breakfast toh ho gaya hai. Aaj tumhara first day hai… office mein kitna kaam hai mujhe… you need to go with full tummy… chalo make it fast…”

Jasbeera ji looked at Shehnaaz with concern now. “Haan baccha… Sidharth thik keh raha hai. Chalo ye puri lassi khatam kar… aur woh parathe bhi khatam kar… jaldi…”

“Mumma please…” Shehnaaz tried to protest, but one glare from Jasbeera ji shut her up. Poor Shehnaaz made a weird little face and turned to shoot angry baby glares at Sidharth, who just chuckled as if he’d won some great battle.

Left with no choice, Shehnaaz picked up the giant glass and began drinking the lassi, followed by parathas. By the end of it, she was so full, she felt like she might just burst. She stared blankly ahead, barely able to breathe.

Sidharth noticed her state and immediately stepped in. “Achha bas ho gaya… we are getting late…” he said quickly, not wanting her to suffer anymore.

Jasbeera ji, ever the loving mother, still packed tiffins for both of them and saw them off with a smile and a blessing.

The moment they sat in the car, Sidharth wasted no time. He pulled Shehnaaz toward him by the waist. She whined and wriggled, clearly annoyed.

But he was relentless. With a mischievous grin, he tugged her into his lap and placed a loud, playful kiss on her cheek.  Shehnaaz pouted at him, sulking adorably. Sidharth leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose, “How was the lassi?” he asked with fake innocence.

Shehnaaz slapped his arm with a baby frown, “Khud kyun nahi pi? Pata chal jati how was lassi…”

Sidharth chuckled at her childlike complaints. He gently ran his fingers along her cheek, the skin soft and warm beneath his touch. “I love your grumpy red nose,” he said softly.

Shehnaaz pouted even more and pressed her nose into his throat with a soft huff. “I hate eating that much… aur woh bhi itna… mera muh ka taste kharab ho gaya…” She made a yukky face, sticking her tongue out a little, “Kitna meetha meetha lag raha hai…”

Sidharth watched her with growing desire. Every small expression of hers—her pouting lips, the way she stuck her tongue out in complaint—was driving him mad. His throat went dry with longing. Without warning, he tightened his grip on her waist and pulled her even closer into his lap. His fingers gently lifted her chin, bringing her face nearer to his.

“Do you want me to help you, jaan?” he asked, his voice low and husky, thick with meaning.

His breath was hot against her lips, making her heart stutter. She could barely breathe. “Kk…k..kaisi help..?” she whispered, her voice trembling.

Sidharth leaned in, brushing his cold, dry lips against her soft, warm ones. The touch was so delicate, yet so powerful, it took Shehnaaz’s breath away.

“muh ka taste thik karne me…” he murmured, hovering dangerously close, as if the world had paused for just them.

Hypnotized by the intensity in his gaze, Shehnaaz found herself completely lost in the moment. Her eyes lingered on his soft, M-shaped lips as a strange, unexplainable craving stirred within her. Her heart thudded louder in her chest, and she couldn’t stop herself anymore. Closing the distance between them, she moved forward and brushed her lips against his in a slow, nervous motion.

The second their lips touched, a raw, wild groan escaped Sidharth’s throat. Without wasting a heartbeat, he pulled her into a tight, almost desperate hug, pressing her against his chest. One of his strong hands spread wide across her back, holding her like she was the most precious thing he had ever known. The other hand moved up, his fingers slipping behind her neck as he tugged her dupatta off—wanting nothing between her and him.

He didn’t let go of her lip until she hit his chest playfully, struggling to breathe. Chuckling, he murmured against her swollen lips, “So sweet, baby…” He let go, but only for a moment. His tongue slowly traced the outline of her lip, tasting the odd blend of her natural sweetness mixed with the leftover lassi. Somehow, that strange combination tasted addictive to him.

Sidharth’s lips traveled down from her jawline to the delicate curve of her neck.

“Stop me…” he muttered against her collarbone, his voice raw, restless, and desperate for her.

But instead of pulling away, Shehnaaz tilted her head back, offering him more of her skin to love. “No…” she breathed, surrendering completely.

Sidharth growled lowly and grabbed her face, crashing his lips back onto hers. “If you’ll be late on your first day…” he whispered teasingly between kisses, “your boss is going to be super angry.”

She laughed, her breath fanning across his cheek as he kissed her giggling lips again. “But what if my boss is late too?” she whispered back cheekily.

“The boss can be late. Employee can’t,” he quipped breathlessly, pulling away slightly.

Shehnaaz broke the kiss and glared playfully, “Par main aapka jaan hoon na…”

“Haan, mera bacha…” he murmured softly and pressed a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose.

She leaned in and kissed him again, pouring all her love and longing into it. She was aggressive, passionate, and completely unfiltered. Sidharth loved it—he adored how she didn’t hold back when she kissed him. She kissed him like he was her world, and in return, he let her drive him to the edge of control.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally broke apart, breathless and flushed. Shehnaaz rested her head on his chest, her breathing fast and uneven. Sidharth wrapped his arms tightly around her, holding her protectively in his warmth.

At the office, there was a buzz of excitement and curiosity. The soon-to-be Mrs. Shukla was finally joining. The gossip had already spread like wildfire—everyone knew she was coming in as a trainee, but nobody dared to openly ask questions.

When Sidharth and Shehnaaz entered together, the staff stood up to greet them, offering respectful smiles and wishes. Nisha was already present and waiting for Shehnaaz. The two women exchanged a warm glance.

Sidharth introduced both Nisha and Shehnaaz as the new trainees. Anu was scheduled to join a week later since she was busy helping her mother with the arrangements for a big charity event Rita ji was planning for her foundation.

Following Sidharth’s instructions, Adi gave Nisha a brief tour of the office while Shehnaaz made her way to her desk. Thanks to Anu, she already knew most corners of the place. She settled in quickly.

Sidharth picked up his phone and called Ritika, instructing her to bring Shehnaaz and Nisha to his cabin.

Ritika, though hesitant at first, composed herself. She knew how important her job was, especially for her family. Whatever her personal feelings might have been, she chose professionalism and maturity.

Ritika entered Sidharth’s cabin with Shehnaaz, Nisha, and four more candidates who had been selected through the campaign.

Looking up from his laptop, Sidharth addressed them in his usual firm tone, “I hope all of you are now comfortable with the office environment.”

Shehnaaz and Nisha smiled lightly. Everyone else nodded and responded with a polite, “Yes, sir.”

Sidharth nodded. He then assigned the team divisions and asked the others to leave, except for Nisha and Shehnaaz. “As of now, you both will be assisting me in my new project under Mr. Vikram Bhardwaj. You’re selected not because of personal connections but because I personally reviewed your interviews,” he clarified without leaving room for assumptions.

Both Shehnaaz and Nisha nodded, understanding the weight of his words. Ritika stood beside them, her face composed, not letting any emotion slip.

Sidharth continued, “It’s a big project and I expect full dedication. Your performance here will impact your training grades. If you fail to meet expectations, you will be immediately removed from the project.”

Again, both girls nodded seriously.

Then he turned to Ritika. “Ritika, have a brief discussion with them and explain the basic details of the project so they can get started.”

“Yes, sir,” Ritika replied at once.

Sidharth turned back to his laptop. “That’s all. You may leave now.”

As they walked out, Shehnaaz couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. Just a few minutes ago, this same man was kissing her like she was the air he needed to breathe—and now, here he was: stern, professional, distant. This side of Sidharth was new to her.

She glanced back a few times, wondering if he would look up—but he didn’t. With a little sigh, she followed Nisha and Ritika out.

Once she was gone, Sidharth lifted his head and smiled softly, eyes lingering on the door she had just walked out of. Then he got back to work, masking his emotions again.

Sidharth was trying his best to wrap up the morning files quickly. His mind kept drifting to Shehnaaz. Was she settling in okay? Did she feel comfortable? He knew she was strong, but this environment could be overwhelming on day one.

As he flipped through another file, a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. A soft smile touched his lips, thinking it might be Shehnaaz.

But the smile vanished when he saw Vicky walk in.

Sidharth raised his brows in surprise. “Vicky, tum? Come, sit.”

Vicky gave a small smile and took a seat across from him. “Woh bhai… actually I wanted to talk to you, that’s why I came.”

Sidharth set the file aside and leaned forward. “Haan bolo. Hum ghar pe bhi baat kar sakte the. Itni kya important baat ho gayi?”

Vicky took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, his voice low. “Woh bhai… I was thinking of joining the office.”

Sidharth studied his face carefully. “Kya hua Vicky? Itne din se keh raha hoon, and you kept ignoring it. What changed all of a sudden?”

Vicky cleared his throat, fumbling a bit. “Actually… I mean… I know it’s my final year, but I really want to work. I promise it won’t affect my studies.”

Sidharth nodded thoughtfully, sensing there was more behind those words.

Vicky smiled faintly, then finally admitted, “Woh bhai… it’s Tara. She thinks I’m not serious about anything. That I can’t handle responsibilities. I want to prove her wrong. Please, bhai…”

Sidharth sighed, then gave a soft smile. “Fine. You can start this week. But no missing college. You’ll work after your lectures, and I mean it—no excuses.”

Vicky’s face lit up instantly. He jumped to his feet in excitement. “Oh bro, I just love you! I promise I’ll work really hard!”

Sidharth stood and pulled him into a hug. “I know. You don’t have to prove anything to me. I know my brother is capable of much more than this.”

Vicky held onto his brother tightly. In his mind, Tara’s doubts echoed, cutting deep. She said she loved him, yet she didn’t trust him. But here was his brother—his family—who believed in him without needing proof.

True love doesn’t need evidence. It just believes. That thought made him smile sadly.

Sidharth noticed the flicker of pain on Vicky’s face. Gently, he pulled away from the hug, concerned. “Vicky, are you alright? Is there anything else you want to say?”

Vicky wiped his emotions behind a smile. “Yeah… I’m wonderful.”

Sidharth gave him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry. Everything will be okay. And remember, I’m always here if you need to talk.”

Vicky smiled, nodded, and hugged him one last time before leaving the cabin.

The conference room was brightly lit, humming with a quiet energy as Nisha and Shehnaaz sat upright in the front row. Their hands moved in rhythm, scribbling down points while their eyes remained focused on Ritika, who stood before them with a confident, professional stance. Ritika, dressed in her crisp formal attire, carried a composed demeanor as she explained the Bhardwaj project with clarity and depth.

She walked them through the history of collaborations between Shukla’s firm and the Bhardwaj group. Her voice, steady and articulate, reflected her years of experience. Nisha occasionally nodded with understanding, while Shehnaaz underlined certain words, highlighting points she wanted to revisit later. Their concentration was unbroken, and Ritika noticed this, quietly appreciating their sincerity.

As Ritika continued, she called in the ER representative, who entered with a formal smile and gave them an induction session. He introduced the ongoing projects, work ethics, time management systems, and the firm’s expectations from their employees and interns. The air in the room carried a sense of professionalism as Shehnaaz and Nisha absorbed everything like eager students on their first day.

Once the main presentation ended, Ritika took the time to clarify any doubts the girls had. They asked thoughtful questions, to which Ritika responded with patience. Despite her reserved nature, Ritika found herself smiling at their genuine curiosity and polite behavior.

Shehnaaz offered a warm smile, her voice filled with gratitude. “Thank you so very much for this Ritika…”

Ritika returned the smile, responding with gentle professionalism, “It’s my duty ma’am..”

Shehnaaz looked startled, quickly shaking her head, her tone laced with urgency. “Ohhh.. please don’t call me ma’am.. call me Shehnaaz or Sana..”

Nisha rolled her eyes with a playful smirk. “Ritika.. agar tum isse ma’am bulaogi.. to ye dar jayegi..”

Ritika looked a little confused, her brow furrowed as she glanced between the two.

Shehnaaz glared at Nisha with mock anger, to which Nisha grinned mischievously. “Actually Shehnaaz is the biggest darpok from our group.. she in not used to this all.. she gets freaked out if someone calls her ma’am in her papa’s office too..”

Letting out a small yelp, Shehnaaz slapped Nisha’s arm gently. “Kyu.. meri image kharab kar rahi hai..”

Nisha winced, but her smile only grew wider. “Badi aayi image wali.. chal foot…”

The tension dissolved completely, and Ritika couldn’t stop the chuckle that escaped her lips. The friendly banter warmed the room, and Ritika decided to step in before the teasing escalated. “Ok ok.. stop it you two.. let’s get back to work..”

Still giggling, Shehnaaz and Nisha nodded and followed Ritika out to their respective desks.

At the Gill house, the afternoon passed quietly. Jasbeera ji sat on the sofa, her reading glasses resting on her nose as she skimmed through a lifestyle magazine. The sharp chime of the doorbell echoed through the house.

“Seema.. zara dekhna toh kaun hai..” she called out casually to the maid without lifting her eyes from the magazine.

“Ji bhabhi..” came the obedient reply, and the maid headed toward the door. Moments later, the voices of guests drifted into the living room.

Jasbeera ji looked up and smiled widely as she recognized her cousin. “Arre.. Asha.. aaona.. bhaisahab aayiye.. aayiye..”

Asha and her husband stepped inside, their faces glowing with warmth. Leher came forward, helping Seema carry a tray with water and snacks. As everyone settled on the sofa, hugs and smiles were exchanged.

Jasbeera ji embraced her cousin. “Ab jake time mila tumhe.. apne behen ke ghar aane ke liye..”

Asha chuckled softly. “Didi aap bhi na.. apko to pata hai.. bachhon me kaha time milta hai..”

Her husband added with a light laugh, “Bilkul sahi kaha, Asha ne.. ab aap hi dekh lo.. bete ke shadi me kitno kho gayi thi..” He gestured toward Leher, whose smile dimmed slightly at the memory, but she nodded politely.

Sensing the dip in mood, Jasbeera ji changed the topic. “Achha batao.. kaise aana huva..”

Asha leaned in with excitement. “Bas.. ek khushkahabari leke aayi hun..”

Leher looked up curiously. “Khushkhabari..?”

The couple smiled brightly. “Neeta ka rishta tey hogaya hai.. aur shAdi ki tarikh bhi pakki ho gayi hai..”

Jasbeera ji’s eyes widened in surprise. The memory of little Neeta playing with Sana flashed before her. “Kya.. ye toh bahot khushi ki baat hai.. lekin etni jaldi..?”

Asha nodded. “Ab kya kare.. beti 20 saal ki ho gayi hai.. .usse rishta paaand aagaya.. bas.. sab jaldi jaldi tey ho gaya…”

Leher joined in with a soft smile. “Neeta ko meri taraf se wish kijiye..”

“Bilkul beta.. .tum sabke yahi invitation dene aaye the..” Asha’s husband replied with a nod, handing over the wedding card.

Asha looked at her sister fondly. “Apano ke ghar tu khud jakar hi invitation dena padta ha na.. apko toh pata hai hai didi.”

Jasbeera ji accepted the card with a knowing smile. “Achha.. ab aaye ho.. toh khana khake Jana..”

Asha shook her head gently. “Nahi didi.. abhi bahot invitations dene baki hai.. fir kabhi jarur aayenge.. ye jijaji se phone pe baat karlenege.. par aap bhi batana ke hum aye the.. sabko invite kiya hai..”

Despite a little insistence, Asha and her husband took their leave. Leher returned to her tasks while Jasbeera ji stood quietly for a few moments, the invitation card still clutched in her hand, lost in a spiral of memories and thoughts.

Back at the office, Shehnaaz sat at her shared cabin next to Sidharth’s. Though the glass partition separated them, her eyes frequently drifted to watch him work. He looked focused, constantly on calls or typing, senior officers coming in and out of his cabin. The pace at which he worked, the sheer commitment, left her in awe.

It wasn’t just his dedication, but the realization that despite such a demanding schedule, he always made time for her. He never let his stress show when he was around her. She remembered the way he pampered her with love, the way he quietly fulfilled all her silly demands.

Her chest tightened. She wanted to run her fingers through his hair, to ease that stress off his forehead. Her eyes welled up with silent admiration. Unable to resist, she picked up her phone and sent him a message.

“Jana mujhe milna hai aap se..”

When Sidharth saw the message, it was already 4 PM. A pang of guilt hit him instantly. He hadn’t had a moment to check on her all day. Without a second thought, he dialed her extension.

“Come in,” he said gently.

The moment Shehnaaz entered, he clicked the remote and locked the cabin door. She placed her hands on her hips and gave him an adorable glare when she noticed his laptop still open.

Sidharth chuckled, pulled her into his lap, and whispered lovingly, “Thak gaya mera bachha..”

Her fingers instinctively found his hair, massaging it softly. “Aap insan ho ke Iron man.. menu toh samajhata hi nahi..” she said, pouting slightly.

Sidharth let out a soft laugh. “Whatever you would like me to be baby..” he replied, pulling her closer until her head rested against his chest. He closed his eyes, letting her touch soothe him.

“Aap thoda toh break liya karo bich me..” she murmured near his ear, her fingers trailing down to his neck.

He hummed in response before standing up suddenly, lifting her effortlessly. She gasped, wrapping her legs instinctively around his waist as he walked toward the inner room, her face flushed and buried in the crook of his neck.

Once inside, he locked the door, ignoring her surprised expression. “Hayla.. ye toh mujhe pata hi nahi tha..” she whispered.

Without answering, he laid her on the bed, hovering above her with a hunger in his eyes. His hands gripped her waist and his other wrapped around her throat as he captured her lips.

What followed was a dance of passion, trust, and overwhelming love.  he held her close, whispering words that melted every fear away.

“Mera bachha.. me yahi hun na.. tumhare paas..”

And that’s all she needed.

Late at night, Jasbeera ji sat lost in thought. Rajender ji, noticing her silence, gently pulled her to sit beside him.

“Kya baat hai beera.. kuchh din se khoyi khoyi lag rahi ho..”

She smiled faintly. “Wo kuchh din pehle Asha aayi thi.. apni beti ki shadi ka invitation dene..”

Rajender ji smiled. “Ye toh khushi ki baat hai.. tum pareshan kyu ho..?”

She stood, walking toward the balcony. “Me Shehnaaz ke bare me soch rahi thi..”

“Shehnaaz ke bare?” he asked, joining her.

“Shehnaaz aur Sidharth ki sagai ko 3 se jyada mahine ho gaye hai.. Shehnaaz ko office join kiye bhi ek week ho gaya..”

“Toh..?” he asked, still confused.

“Mujhe lagta hai ke ab achha sa muhurat dekhke dono bachho ki shadi kar deni chahiye..”

Rajender ji nearly coughed. “What..? Shehnaaz ki shadi..?”

“Isme etna shock hone ki kya baat hai..”

He rubbed his temple. “Par Shehnaaz toh abhi bachhi hai..”

“Bachhi.. wo aapke liye bachhi hai.. lekin Mr. Gill.. wo ab badi ho gayi hai.. sagai ho gayi hai uski.. aur dono bachhe kitna pyar karte hai ek dusre se..”

Rajender ji finally smiled and hugged her. “Hum kaise rahenge apni Sana ke bagair..”

Her eyes welled up. “Rehna toh padega na.. yahi toh hota aaya hai.. aur aage bhi yahi hota rahenga..”

“Hum next week Rita bhabhi se baat karenge..”

“Ab waqt aa gaya hai.. beti ko vida kar dene ka..”

Tears shimmered in his eyes. “Waqt ka kuchh samaj hi nahi aata.. abhi toh Baaz ki shadi ka waqt chal raha tha.. aur ab.. Sana ki bhi..”

“Ab jyada emotional mat baniye.. is bare me filhal Sana se kuchh mat kahiye.. pehle bhabhi ji se baat karenge..”

“As you say madam..”

“Hatiye aap.. beti ki shadi ka waqt aagaya.. aur aap hai ke..”

“Toh kya.. abhi to me jawan hun..”

She chuckled, leaning into his warm hug once again as the night quietly settled over their home.
