Where every word breathes Love….

Chapter 12

As Vihaan’s words finally sank in, Sidharth was left in a state of shock and fury. “Two Nanis… What does he mean by that?” The confusion swirled in his mind, battling with the words his mother had said. She had told him that girl was an orphan, without any family to call her own.
Β
He felt a wave of anger wash over him. He had suspected it from the start. He knew that woman was a con artist, deceiving his mother and Vihaan with her innocent facade. Yet, amidst the anger, a pang of disappointment gnawed at him. Despite his suspicions, a part of him had wanted to believe her, to trust the sincerity in her eyes.Β
Β
His heart ached at the thought, a mix of betrayal and sorrow tightening in his chest. The feeling was unsettling, irritating him to his core. How could he have been so naive? He clenched his fists, trying to control the storm of emotions raging within him.
Sidharth paced the room, his mind racing with the implications. If she wasn’t who she claimed to be, then who was she really? And what was she after? He had to find out, to protect his family from whatever scheme she was concocting. But the thought of confronting her filled him with an unexplained dread, as if he feared the truth that might be uncovered.
Not wanting to upset Vihaan with his outburst, Sidharth forced a smile and gently asked the little boy, “Vihaan, can you go downstairs and check if dinner is ready?”
Β
Vihaan nodded eagerly, oblivious to the turmoil brewing within his brother. As soon as Vihaan was out of sight, Sidharth’s expression hardened. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart, and pulled out his phone. There was only one person he could turn to for clarity in this situation: Shikhar.
Β
He dialed the number with a sense of urgency, pacing the room as the phone rang. It barely rang twice before Shikhar’s voice came through.
Β
“Ha Bhai, bolna…” Shikhar said, his tone casual.
Sidharth didn’t waste a second as he blasted, “I told you that woman was fake! But you and Maa… Maa doesn’t understand the world, Shikhar. She thinks everyone is good like her, but we know otherwise. You…”
Β
Sidharth was on and on with his ranting when Shikhar interrupted him, “Wait, wait, Sidharth. What’s wrong? Are you talking about Shehnaaz here? Will you first tell me what happened?”
Β
Shikhar wasn’t sure what had caused Sidharth to come to this conclusion. He didn’t like the way Sidharth was reacting; he had never seen him so hyper.
Β
Sidharth took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and recounted the conversation with Vihaan. As he spoke, Shikhar listened intently, his mind racing to piece together the puzzle.Β
Β
Shikhar mentally cursed the women’s stupidity. Their naivety had now caused this grave problem. But he had to do something.Β
Β
“Sidharth, that’s not possible, man. There must be some misunderstanding. I personally checked Shehnaaz’s background thoroughly, and I mean it, bro. No stone was left upturned. This has to be some kind of mistake.”
Sidharth groaned restlessly, his frustration boiling over. He wasn’t sure why he was seething so much. The dedication in Shehnaaz’s voice when she spoke about Vihaan refused to leave his mind.
Β
“But what Vihaan said… Are you sure of this, Shikhar?” Sidharth felt mentally tired all of a sudden, the weight of the situation pressing down on him.
Β
Shikhar sighed, knowing Sidharth was exhausted by the mess life had thrown at him. “Ha Sid, I dug up her entire background. Trust me. Do one thing: talk to badi Maa. There has to be some misunderstanding.”
Β
Shikhar hated lying to Sidharth and knew that one day, when the truth came out, Sidharth might hate him. But he was willing to take that risk for the sake of Sidharth and Vihaan.
Β
“Hmm… I’ll speak with Maa. Anyway, I needed to talk to you about…” And the conversation between them continued, shifting to other pressing matters.
Β
As Sidharth ended the call, a heavy sense of unease lingered. He knew he had to confront his mother and get to the bottom of this. But for now, he needed a moment to collect his thoughts and prepare for the difficult conversations ahead.
Once the call ended, Shikhar instantly called Rita ji and informed her about the conversation between him and Sidharth.
Β
Rita ji was shocked out of her wits and slapped her forehead in tension. How could they be so stupid? They never realized something like this could happen. It had taken her by complete surprise.
“Aap logo ne Vihaan se kaha nahi tha kya, ke Sid ko kuch na bataye?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.
Β
Rita ji was shocked out of sits and slapped her forehead in tension.. how could they be so stupid.. they never realized something like that could happen, “ab kya hoga Shikhar..?”
Shikhar sighed not liking the stressed voice of Rita ji, “badi maa, me kuch sochta hun.. tab tak please aap Sid ke samne mat ana..”
Β
Shikhar tried to stay calm, despite the growing tension. “We need to handle this carefully. I’ll talk to Shehnaaz and make sure she understands the gravity of the situation..”

Β
After ending the call, Rita ji took a moment to compose herself. She knew that Sidharth was already on edge, and she had to find a way to soothe his worries without making things worse. Taking a deep breath, she prepared herself for the difficult conversation ahead.
Β
Back in Sidharth’s room, he paced back and forth, trying to calm his racing thoughts. His mind kept replaying the conversation with Vihaan and the subsequent call with Shikhar. The doubts and suspicions gnawed at him, refusing to let go.
_______________
Shikhar also got Shehnaaz and Anu on a conference call to discuss the situation. Anu was worried sick. “Mene kaha tha, Shikhar… this is a bad idea…”
Β
To say Shehnaaz was scared would be an understatement. She was shaking as the gravity of the problem sank into her brain. *Agar Sidharth ko pata chala toh… woh mujhe kabhi maaf nahi karenge. He will hate me forever… woh waise bhi mujhe pasand nahi karte. Shadi se mana kar denge… Vihaan ko mujhse chhin lenge…*
Β
The whirlpool of thoughts overwhelmed her. Sanju, noticing Shehnaaz’s distress, made her sit on the sofa and placed the phone in front of them.
Β
“Ek kaam ho sakta hai, guys,” Sanju piped in. “According to the cooked-up story, Sana was raised in an orphanage, right? There could be a guardian who took care of the kids. Shehnaaz could have had a good bonding with that guardian. Madhu Aunty can play that role. She’ll get to attend the wedding too.”
Β
“Perfect,” Shikhar said with a relieved sigh, grateful for the potential solution. “Anu, quickly go to Badi Maa’s room and explain this to her. There shouldn’t be a single slip.”
Β
“Got it… on my way,” Anu mumbled as she disconnected the call and rushed to her mother’s room.
Β
Rita ji was pacing back and forth, trying to find a solution before Sidharth could barge in. She heard someone entering her room and turned swiftly. She sighed in relief, seeing it was Anu and not Sidharth.
Β
Anu ran to her mother and made her sit down on the bed, offering her a glass of water. She let her mother drink it patiently and then explained the solution they had discussed earlier.
Β
Feeling relieved, Rita ji closed her eyes as a few tears rolled down her cheeks.
Β
“Kya hua, Maa?” Anu asked worriedly, sitting on her knees in front of her mother and wiping her tears away.
Β
Rita ji shook her head. “Yeh sab kitna mushkil hai na… But Sid aur Vihaan ki bhalai ke liye hum majboor hain. Main jaanti hoon Sid ko jhoot bolne wale log pasand nahi… But aur koi rasta bhi toh nahi hai…”
Β
Anu nodded in agreement. “Ab humne kadam badhaya hai toh pichhe nahi hat sakte. Hum yeh sab Vihaan ke liye kar rahe hain na, Maa. Aur maine unka rishta mehsoos kiya hai, Maa. Khoon ka na sahi, par dil ka rishta hai woh,” she said, referring to Shehnaaz and Vihaan.
Β
Rita ji smiled amidst tears.. she couldn’t agree more.. she felt there bond too.. a magical bond..
Β
Anu smiled back, “aai please upset mat ho.. aur ab me chalti hun.. bhai kabhi bhi ate hi honge.. aap please sambhal Lena..” saying so, Anu left leaving a determined yet apprehensive Rita ji back.

Sanju cupped shehnaaz face to call her down, “relax baby.. kuch galat nahi hoga.. hum sab hai na…”
Β
Scared and teary eyes, shehnaaz hugged Sanju quickly, “humse aise stupidity kaise ho gayi Sanju… Mujhe bahot dar lag raha hai.. me vihaan ke bina nahi ji paungi Sanju…me unke bina nahi ji pau gi…”
Β
A soft chuckle left from Sanju mouth at the mention of unke bina.. she knew her duffer friend was refering to none other than sidharth.. at last.. she was accepting her feelings towards Sidharth..
Β
Shehnaaz looked at her with teary angry eyes, “me to rahi hu aur tu has rahi hai… Kitni buri hai tu..” accusing like a baby, she rested her head on Sanju’s shoulder, “agar unhone shadi toh di toh…”
Β
Shaking her head, Sanju quickly dismissed, “aisa kuch nahi hoga.. tere woh .. shadi nahi todenge.. kyunki unhe pata hai.. unki sana unke bina reh nahi payegi..”
Β
Embarrassed, shehnaaz looked away realised this cute taunt was the result of her blabber..
Β
“Yaar ye siyappe hai ke khatam hone ka naam hi nahi lete…I swear…” Sanju comment light headly to distract shehnaaz… And it worked well..
________________
Rita ji was taking her medicine when sidharth barged jn her room.. he sat beside his motherΒ  and took the glass from her to keep it on side table once she had taken her medicine..
Β
She smiled at his ever caring nature, “kya huva Sid.. muh kyu fulake takhha hai..” she said to calm down his hyper.mood, very well knowing the reason of his arrival..
Β
Sidharth sighed before looking at his mother, “maa.. actually mujhe apse kuch puchhna tha…”
Β
“Ha bolna na beta…” She asked as if she knew nothing..
Β
Sidharth decided to coil the matter, “aap aaj vihaan ko garden le gaye the kya.. he looked very happy…”
Β
Rita ji grinned at the mention of her grand child, “sid tuze pata hai na uska… Dadi chalo na.. maa se milna hai.. garden Jana hai…” She deliberately added maa wala part to observe his reaction and as expected it worked.. sidharth looked restless all of sudden..
Β
To make it look natural, Rita ji countied, “aur aaj Madhu ji se bhi milna tha.. toh woh bhi kaam ho gaya..”
Β
“Madhu ji.” Asked sidharth in confusion.
Β
Rita ji acted excited. “Shehnaaz ki guardian hain woh… Shehnaaz jis orphanage mein thi us bach ki guardian thi woh. Shehnaaz ko hamesha Maa jaisa pyar diya hai unhone. Woh ek baar mujhse milna chahti thi. Vihaan toh unhe milte hi Nani Nani bulane laga. Humein bhi achha laga. Bahut achhi lady hain.”
Β
“Ohhh…” mumbled Sidharth softly, his questions answered without having to ask.
Β
“Kaha khoya hai, Sid…” she asked to distract him from thinking further.
Β
Sidharth sighed and took his mother’s hands in his. “Maa, mujhe ab bhi lagta hai ke aapko ek baar fir sochna chahiye…”
Β
Rita ji got upset hearing him. “Tujhe ab bhi mera faisla galat lag raha hai… bharosa nahi hai na mujhpar…” Tears formed in her eyes.
Β
Worried, Sidharth wiped them instantly. “Maa, please… aap kyun ro rahi ho… Mujhe aap par pura bharosa hai…”
Β
“Toh fir wada kar…” She put his palm on her head. “Kha kasam meri… tu ye shaadi karega…”
Β
Shocked by Rita ji’s action, Sidharth swallowed a painful choke. He hated doing this, but his mother wouldn’t have it any other way. Sighing, he agreed and hugged his mother like a scared child. Scared of what the future held, scared of the storm that woman might bring into his house, into his life, into his heart…
Β
The last part, he refused to accept.
Suddenly remembering something, Rita ji chirped, “Waise mene pandit ji se baat ki thi… aaj se thik 13 din baad ka muhurat achha hai. Tera man nahi hai toh… simple si shaadi karne mandir mein… sirf gharwalon ke samne. Kal sham ko shopping ke liye jana hai… tu late mat karna.”
Β
It was as if Rita ji never spoke… Sidharth sat there motionless, realizing this was really happening. He was actually getting married again. Marriage in two weeks… shaadi… shopping… His heart was breaking bit by bit. “Maa, mera kya kaam hai waha? Aap log sambhal lena…”
Β
Rita ji glared at him. “Bilkul nahi… tuze ana hai matlab ana hai. Main ek nahi sunne wali… Tere liye kapde main try karke dekhi… kyun bhi matlab.”
Β
Sidharth sighed, hating the idea. “Meri important meeting hai… please understand.”
Β
Rita ji shook her head adamantly. “Koi meeting nahi… cancel kar de. Chup chap shopping pe aa jana hai tuze… Shehnaaz ko bhi achha lagega, beta.”
Β
He didn’t care what she liked. All this mess was happening because of her. Why did she come into their life? Why did she let Vihaan get attached to her? He hated her from the core of his heart for ruining his life like this. But he felt helpless in front of his mother. “Main koshish karunga, Maa…”
Β
Saying so, he took a quick exit, leaving a disappointed Rita ji behind.
Β

Rita ji, Shehnaaz, Anu, Sanju, Shikhar, and Vihaan were at the famous designer Meeta Khanna’s studio to shop for the wedding lehenga and other stuff.
Β
Shehnaaz honestly had no hope that Sidharth would come for shopping. Rita Maa was saying that he would come, but she hardly believed it.
Β
Vihaan remained clung to her like a monkey, and she cherished every second. She had brought him a homemade sandwich and fed him. He loved the tasty sandwich and showed his grin as appreciation.
Β
Designer Meeta pulled out a beautiful red wedding lehenga, and Shehnaaz almost puked at the bright red color. The color reminded her of Payal’s blood-smeared body…
Β
“Hatao ise… khun hai isme…” Shehnaaz spoke with a shaky voice, and Sanju held her instantly. Anu and Rita ji exchanged worried glances while Sanju made her drink water.
Β
Once Shehnaaz felt better, Vihaan hugged her closely, fearing what had happened to his mother suddenly. Meanwhile, Sanju looked at the designer. “Woh… she doesn’t like red color. Can you show some other colors like pastel pink or pearl shade?”
Β
Meeta took out a beautiful lehenga in a pearl shade. “I think this will look absolutely stunning on you, Shehnaaz. It will complement your vibrant beauty… it’s like it’s been made for you only.”
Shehnaaz was lost in the beauty of the lehenga while the rest of the women loved it too. “It’s absolutely stunning… I can’t take my eyes off it.”
Β
“Would you like to try it?” Meeta asked the million-dollar question, to which Shehnaaz nodded her head excitedly, eliciting chuckles from the rest of the women.
Β
The assistant quickly took Shehnaaz to the trial rooms area while Sanju and Rita ji went to shop for clothes for Vihaan, leaving Anu to wait for Shehnaaz.
Β
Sidharth reached there shortly, not wanting to see another set of tears in his mother’s eyes, and Anu was baffled to see her brother there. She could hardly believe her brother would come for the shopping willingly.
Β
Sidharth cleared his throat at the weird way Anu was looking at him. His eyes, against all odds, wandered around to find a glimpse of the woman he apparently hated. But he didn’t even know how she looked. The thought disturbed him, and he got irritated thinking of these stupid things. He had no interest in knowing how she looked, he decided adamantly.
Β
But his eyes still refused to stop searching. He hated himself for it, but there was an inexplicable pull, a curiosity that gnawed at him. Was it because she had become so entwined with his family, with Vihaan, with everything he was trying to protect?
Β
Anu watched him with a knowing smile. “Bhai, kuch dhoond rahe ho?” she teased lightly, trying to ease his evident discomfort.
Β
Sidharth gave her a stern look. “Nahi, bas aise hi…,” he mumbled, trying to sound disinterested.
“Bako sab log kaha hai?” he asked almost defensively.
Β
Anu was about to tell him the truth but then thought otherwise. If knowing, her bhai might scold her or kill her later, she was ready to take the risk. Determined, she pointed towards her left. “Wahan Shehnaaz Vihaan ko kapde try karane leke gayi hai… aur Maa Sanju ke sath hai dusre section me.”
Β
Sidharth was furious hearing it. My Vihaan is alone with that woman, she could do anything to him. I don’t trust her, not with my family, not with my kid, not with myself. “Tum kyun nahi gayi sath, Anu? We don’t even know that woman. That’s an absolute careless approach,” he snapped angrily and walked off towards where she had pointed.
Β
Upon reaching, he knocked on the door, hoping he wasn’t knocking on the wrong one.
Β
Startled, Shehnaaz spoke from inside, “Who is it?”
Β
That voice… the melodious voice… he knew it belonged to her. He hated that he remembered her voice so well but was thankful for the moment.
Β
“Open the door,” Sidharth snapped from outside.
Β
Sidharth… oh no. Shehnaaz was scared out of her wits hearing his angry voice. Not thinking straight, she instantly unlocked the door, intending to come out but was almost forced back as Sidharth walked in.
Β

Sidharth walked in with a force, determined to take his kid away from the woman “where is….”
.. but there he stood…frozen.. motionless.. thoughtless.. words trailing off.. his senses had stopped working.. his brain almost malfunctioned.. because right in front of him was the epitome of beauty.. the eternal beauty.. the most gorgeous and breath taking woman he had ever seen..He felt his heart race, the world around him fading into a hazy backdrop as he drank in her beauty. She was a vision of perfection, each detail more captivating thanpossible. Her skin glowed with a delicate radiance, as if kissed by the morning sun, and the elegance with which she carried herself was nothing short of divine.
Β
Her eyes, oh, her eyes. They were the color of the deepest oceans, pools of sapphire that held within them the mysteries of the universe. Her eyes were so talkative that he found himself lost in them.. they held fear and trust.. love and tears.. determination and vulnerability… deep and soulful, sparkled with an inner light that rendered him breathless.. She blinked her eyes repeatedly like a bird … Framed by long, dark lashes, they sparkled with a magical and warmth that seemed to pierce right through to his soul. When she looked at him, it was as if she could see every hidden corner of his heart, and he found himself wanting to bare it all to her.
Β
Her skin was flawless, a smooth, porcelain canvas with a delicate blush that hinted at the warmth within. It glowed with a soft radiance, as if she was illuminated from within by some ethereal light. He skin was so soft and clear.. like she had a bath in tons of milk.. she was so fair that the pearl shade of the lehenga looked dull jn front of her
Β
Her hair were seren . Absolutely smooth .. reaching her waistline.. cascaded in soft waves, framing a face that could have been sculpted by angels.. that nose was like a cute button and her lips..
Β
oh damn no please.. Her lips were a perfect bow, a shade of prettiest rose that looked like it had been kissed by the first light of dawn. They held a promise, a silent invitation that spoke of love, passion, and the depth of emotions that lay beneath the surface. Each time she smiled..Β
He almost moved a step to take those lips in his.. but never did..
Β
His heart skipped several beats as her attire finally sink in.. she was clad in a beautiful pearl shade bridal lehenga that hugged each curve so perfectly . She was absolutely curvy and beautiful… Her form was an exquisite blend of curves and lines, each one a proof to her natural grace. There was nothing about her that wasn’t noticeable…
Β
She wore no make or jewelry except for the diamond studs in her ears and a delicate ring in the finger.. yet she looked also gorgeous… almost like a painting.. She was simply breath taking and he needed no proof that it’s her.. shehnaaz… he knew it.. his heart and soul knew it.. every cell in his body knew its her..
Β
Her innocent eyes .. the way they continued to stare at him.. moving from one eyes to the other drive him nuts…
She was a heavenly beauty, a dream made flesh, and in that moment, he knew he would never forget the way she made him feelβ€”awestruck, enchanted, and irrevocably captivated.
Β
His feet were frozen on the place… His eyes finally blinked and he never realized that he was moving towards her…
Β
Shehnaaz was completely lost in his eyes.. they were so intense that she could just melt in them.. a part of her had wanted him to come..Β  a part of her had wanted him to be the first to see her in the bridal lehenga.. a part of her t
Had wanted him to take her in his embrace and tell her that it’s okay.. he is there to protect her… A part of her needed him more than she needed herself
Β
Her heart did the immediate dhak dhak as she realized her wish had come true.. he was here.. really here…
Β
She took a couple of steps back and was pressed against the mirror only to look up and find him right against her…
Β
His eyes could see through her soul…
Β
His eyes refused to explore her..Β
She almost hissed with a shiver as she felt his knuckles against her cheek.. brushing softly.. as if he was trying to read her.. trying to fele her.. trying to learn her….
Β
Unable to control, she closed her eyes and let him do whatever he wanted… She knew she belonged to this man.. her heart belonged to him.. her soul belonged to him.. a woman like her who never as much believed in love was insane, irrevocably in love with him… Her cheeks had turned deep shade of red under his intense gaze… She was breathless..
Β
Siddharth groaned harshly as he felt her smooth skin against his knuckles.. she was so soft like she didn’t belong to this world .. lile a snow princess wrapped in bridal lehenga…
Β
β€œDamn,” he murmured under his breath, unable to stop himself from brushing his knuckles down to her chin, making a path towards her neck.
Β
She hissed with every touch if him…. She trembled with each touch. it was as if she was never touched before.. like its all just him.. only him…
her reaction was his balm to the restless heart .. her reaction satisfied him and he hated the mere distance between them…
Β
Unable to control himself, he moved to close the distance between their lips when his phone rang with a shrill..
